Cordova by Air - 6.19.2013

Last week Rachel and our awesome roommate Megan had the great idea of taking me flightseeing for my birthday. We started on Lake Eyak, just down the road from our house, flew west over town, then followed Orca Inlet southwest to the Gulf of Alaska. From there we flew over the amazingly green Copper River Delta headed for the Sheridan Glacier. After flying over the incredibly deep crevasses of the Sheridan, we turned around, passing the Scott Glacier and its braided river before following the Copper River highway back towards town and the lake. Needless to say, it was a great birthday activity!

What a great flight! Who knows, maybe someday we'll have a little plane?
