Master's Research Defended!!!

I defended the research behind my Masters Degree yesterday. It felt very very awesome to get it over with and to be able to move on with my life. My project, on ice flow, focused on the coupled effects of water underneath glaciers, basal sliding and enhanced ice flow. It actually turned out really well, I'm pretty excited about the results. I'll spend the next couple months working as a research assistant in our environmental fluid mechanics lab, then head down to Crested Butte for the winter. Now that this very hectic and stressful period in my life is over, I'll finally have time to update my blog once again! Here is a brief and unexplained sample of some of my work:

Battling something on the ceiling...
Particle tracking!

Quantifying flowing water extent
