Growing up in the mountains of Colorado, I was lucky enough to spend most of my waking moments outside. But, it wasn't until I enrolled at the University of Colorado that I really began to appreciate the outdoors. I finished my bachelor's degree at CU and continued right on to grad school there. In 2011, I completed my master's degree studying glaciology. In the spring of 2013 I fled the Lower 48 and headed north to Cordova; after 6 memorable months there I moved to Anchorage.

This blog centers around the joy of experiencing life with wonderful people. It is meant to be a resource for information, conditions, and making memories in our mountains.
